“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his work.” - Revelation 22:12

Dear Neighbor,

These are difficult times.

The Lord knows what we are experiencing though, and throughout His Word He gives us messages of hope to help us. I have found myself reading the Psalms a lot with the COVID-19 pandemic upon us. Here are some of my favorite encouraging passages in case you might find them comforting too.

Hold firm and He shall encourage your heart, All ye who wait with hope for the Lord. (Ps. 31:24)
Behold the eye of Jehovah is toward those who fear Him, Toward those who hope for His mercy; To rescue their soul from death; And to keep them alive in famine. (Ps. 33:18-19)
For in Thee, O Jehovah, do I hope; Thou wilt answer, O Lord my God. (Ps. 38:15)
Only with God may my soul be still; For from Him is my hope. (Ps. 62:5)
Thou art my hiding place and my shield; In Thy Word do I hope. (Ps. 119:114)
I wait for Jehovah, My soul waits, and for His Word do I hope. (Ps. 130:5)

If you would like to discuss the above (and more) Scriptural passages on hope, and what the New Church teaches regarding hope, please feel free to give me a call (at the number below).

If you find yourself looking for a religious community during these trying times, the Kempton New Church live-streams a church service every Sunday at 10:00 A.M., as always. (Here is a link to both our live and archived services: www.kemptonnewchurch.org/Worship/video.php.) You are also certainly welcome to join us in person when we can all worship together in the same space once again.

Best wishes!

Sincerely,

Rev. Brett D. Buick
