“And the Spirit and the bride say, 'Come!' And let him who hears say, 'Come!' And let him who thirsts come. And whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.” - Revelation 22:17

You are warmly invited to a Nativity play, a worship service, on Sunday, December 11 at 4:30 and 6:00 P.M. The script, read by a narrator, will be the Christmas stories from the Gospels. They will be reverently presented by costumed actors, very suitable for children as well as adults.
What do we celebrate at Christmas time? An angel told Joseph, “You shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins” (Matt. 1:21). And the angels said to the shepherds, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will among men” (Luke 2:14).
It can sometimes seem that these promises were not fulfilled. The world is full of misery—internationally, nationally, and within our own families. How may we understand and have hope in the coming of the Lord?
When Jesus began to teach, the first thing He said was, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is near. Repent, and believe in the good news” (Mark 1:15). God and His kingdom are near. Now we know that the Lord Jesus Christ is God Himself. Now we know how to come to our Savior for help.
The Lord came to set us free from the demons that possessed us, ensuring our freedom forever after. We can repent of our sins. He does not stop evil spirits from attacking us, but now we can freely choose the good and refuse the evil (Isa. 7:15). Little by little, we can improve our work ethic, our willingness to serve our neighbor, our marriage, and the ways we raise our children.
The Lord came and gave us His Word “to guide our feet into the way of peace” (Luke 1:79). The more we choose to follow Him, by keeping His commandments, the more the Lord can fulfill for us His Christmas promise of peace on earth, good will among men.
